What began as a one‑off gameplay b‑roll request quickly evolved into something far more ambitious. The challenge was to prove long‑term value beyond execution — becoming not just a vendor, but a deeply embedded creative and technical partner within Epic Games’ fast‑moving Fortnite ecosystem.

To meet the demands of a live‑service title, Dark Burn Creative needed to scale rapidly while maintaining quality, speed, and creative consistency. This required building a robust, future‑proof game capture workflow focused on growth, efficiency, and premium output — while collaborating across multiple studios, supporting development and technology teams, and solving evolving creative needs in real time across an expanding slate of products and launches.

The Results

Over six years, Dark Burn Creative grew from a single engagement into a multi‑year retainer and long‑standing strategic partnership — ultimately becoming Epic Games’ trusted Agency of Record.

We designed and scaled a high‑volume game capture and production workflow capable of producing 100+ video assets annually. This included the introduction of an in‑engine, real‑time cinematics workflow — unlocking faster iteration, deeper storytelling, and cinematic quality directly within the Fortnite engine.

Our partnership has supported a wide range of Fortnite initiatives, including — but not limited to — Battle Pass content, seasonal and limited‑time launch events, Fortnite Reloaded, Fortnite Blitz, OG, Ballistic, Fortnite Shop social videos, emote clips, Fortnite Mobile and major product launches.
